You need to send a private message to “discobot” with the message “start tutorial” This starts a private message tutorial type conversation with discobot. There is also an advanced tutorial that is started by sending a new private message to “discobot” with the message “start advanced tutorial”
Ya, I got stuck on the first reply from discobot for quite a while. Until I figured out what discobot was trying to get me to do on my first reply. You have to give discobot the exact “robotic” response or the entire conversation comes to a halt. Good luck.

Is there a spellcheck by any chance? Browser spell check doesn’t seem to work. Am using chrome on windows 11.
No spell check that I am aware of. I’m using phone with Samsung internet browser, which has a spell check built into the pop-up keyboard. However, I have a 101 keyboard/mouse attached via usb-c and therefore do not have access to the pop-up keyboard. I have to open another tab and then google my spelling from time to time.
I did a google search and found this thread on the discourse community forum. Toward the end of the thread they mention a “Discourse AI helper.” I tried this, but it does not work on my phone.
Yeah, I saw the Discourse AI helper settings, putting my personal opinion on the state of AI today aside, the integration requires a 3rd party pay-per-use provider enabled at the forum level. That’s not something I’m interested in, adding on scaling cost.
