Spring perch break ?
The bottom coil broke off where it shrinks down to the perch size. I found a chunk near where I park on the street a couple months ago. I figured it was from the other side (driverās side) where I already knew it broke, but was sitting on the busted chunk. But I guess it was from the passengerās side breaking. At least I had driven it less since getting the Jeep in running order.

The driverās side looks even more sketchy now that I can see it better. Looks like it just needed one or two big nasty pothole hits to force the coil open around it all and collapse.

I had a coil spring break on my college car and it cut a groove into the back of my tire on a 3-hour drive home for a weekend. Luckily I found it before it cut all the way through and was able to replace the tire before catastrophe!

PBS started airing it here along with the return of Red Green, and Iām finding it absolutely hilarious.
Same thing happened with the shit box Acura , drove it for awhile that way until some funds were available to new fronts. " They say you can make knives out of car springs ". Maybe , heat treat that shit though.
Only other vehicles Iāve had break springs were last version Ford Escorts (late 90s-early 00s). They would normally sit a bit raked, but my 00 sat nice and level since both rears were busted. Years later I got a 98 to fix up as a spare car since I was familiar with the platform. One rear was busted so I replaced all four corners.
At least you had a spare!
So many new cars only come with a can of glop, or run flat tyres: we have run flats on our Lexus and theyāre crap. Have never broken a spring, though, even on my old Peugeot 403s when driving on goat tracks.
@Wolf I know of the show, but I was never a big TV watcher, so I donāt think I ever saw more than two minutes of an episode.
Red Green was produced just down the road from me in Hamilton, though, and my Dad shares Redās affinity for duct tape use!

Finished setting up my home office and computer system this morning. I start my new job tomorrow morning. The loaner company car is coming this week to use until my brand new Bronco is delivered! Iāve only had one brand new car in my entire life (my '93 Mustang) so this is pretty exciting for me.

Stupid question that doesnāt actually matter, but does anyone know how the Spotify algorithm works? Iām too cheap to pay so I just have the free version with a playlist set up. But, there are songs in my playlist that hardly ever get played and other songs/artists that are played multiple times over the same period of time. If it were truly a random shuffle then they should all get played roughly at the same rate. Does it prioritize artists or songs youāve favorited, or is it like based on artist payouts where they play the lower rate artists more frequently?
Bronco or Bronco sport? As far as I can tell they are two totally different platforms stylized to look similar.

Yes, just the Bronco Sport. Smaller 2 door model I believe. But still AWD. Small (1.5L maybe) turbocharged Ecoboost. I donāt care about the power or lack of. I get to take it to the dealer for oil changes and tire rotations. Never had that before.
