Thanks for the input guys . Ron thanks for those numbers , honestly at that price point , I think Id spend a few more bucks and get the WIIM ultra, personally.
I’ve gone with a $40 Up2Stream mini. Does BT, Spotify & Tidal, plus Airplay and (I think) Roon, even. Control is app-based, but if you’re in Spotify, then the streamer is driven directly by Spotify or whatever.
It’ll do lossless. And to that end, I spent an extra $10 for the SPDIF daughter board to let my pre handle the D/A conversion.
For me, it’s enough.
And if you’re a Home Assistant nerd like me, there’s an integration.

It seems pretty cost effective for an all in one with balanced out and if you do not need or want a screen, better than the WIIM, of course depending on the UI.
I missed reading or seeing it, does the Fiio have PEQ? That will help it with room integration, bass boost and sub integration.
