Glued up cabinets for another 2-way today. This will be using the Denovo Motus 5” and the SB Acoustics SB29RDNC (the little ring radiator). This project is the result of some conversations I have been having, more info on that later.
Anywhoo, I am just creating the thread for now. Not too many details just yet, but it is in a 0.5 cubic feet with F3 of around 50Hz.
I may also do a MTM slim tower, have not decided. I have several extra of the Motus 5” (Long story) so have some options at my disposal.
Will be working this in parallel with the budget GRS build found here: GRS Poly "surface mount" 4" 4 ohm and ND28F in waveguide
Hope you are all at least busy dreaming of your next build!

Hope I have the opportunity to listen to a build with the Motus. They look like they’d be impressive drivers

I have an existing build using the Motus 5” and a Viawave ribbon. They are indeed very nice drivers.

don’t see any motus drivers listed anymore on the diysoundgroup site, are they all sold out?

After all your builds, if you happen to have a pair of the 5” leftover, i might be interested.
My next project is a desktop 2 way in 10 liters
Looks like the (impressive) Motus woofers need a lot more volume
Excited that a Wavecor WF120 will do a 38 Hz F3 in that box
Tweeter TBD
due to a busted hand, I may buy knock down boxes from Cinergy

Why are there no graphs on the site?

Think Ani had provided link to motus ones some time ago somewhere, though I googled the model and found it, http://nedlab.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/UH130PW1-Midbass.pdf as one example.
Though yeah would think helpful to add info at Cinergy for them.

Took today off (should have taken Monday off) to reset and was going to work on these, then this happened.

i’ve got a pair of SB15NRX woofers on the shelf, but they won’t work in a smallish box.
The Wavecor WF129BD models in 10 liters ported with a F3 of 38 and a F6 of 35 ( )
and with 10 watts, produces 94dB, which I am likely never to listen to as a desktop.
I am a total fanboy for good ribbons (and discounts), so I grabbed a pair of Neo X 1.0 ribbons from Cinergy.

Hmm – thanks for the advice, but I am retired - so no working hours and plenty “blunts”
