Behringer ECMPRO (continued)

This is a continuation of the Behringer ECMPRO thread on the old site (LINK).

I bought an ECM Pro several months ago. It doesn’t come with a cal file, but a generic one can be found in the Behringer Downloads section. I thought the generic file looked a little “dodgy” so I sent the mic to Cross Spectrum Labs for an official calibration file. I attached my CSL cal file vs the generic file. IMO you’d be better off without a cal file than using the generic one. I also included a chart from the old thread that compared three ECM Pros to an Earthworks mic. It appears that all three ECM Pros follow the same basic pattern as my mic.

There is one drawback with the ECM Pro: it’s tapered nose won’t fit a standard SPL calibrator. Over at diyaudio a poster (LINK) came up with a 3-D printed adapter (see pic) that allows the ECM Pro to fit a standard 1/2’’ calibrator (see pics below). The two.stl files are at the diyaudio link. Is there anyone willing to print the adapter pieces for me? I’d be happy to reimburse you for your time and materials. Thanks

I got you!

I’ll be at the shop tomorrow if you need anything; I could ship it with your order.
