CSS Detroit DIY 2025 - Sept 19th-20th

Continuing from old forum site…

Even though the event is today and tomorrow, hopefully there will be some pics and comments after the event.

I will be bringing 20 to 30 homemade cinnamon rolls.

Depending on how many get eaten on the way there?

I’ll leave as early as I can tomorrow. I’ll bring the stubby stands and wheel cart.

Thanks @DanP and @navyguy for hosting the CSS event. Was good to see the gang and to hear all the speakers.

It was a good time by those that attended. Thanks to Kerry and Dan! (Apparently we are limited to 5 images per post in the new software.)

I have to get there, hopefully next year.

Smaller turnout this year. I like small, but can’t get much smaller or I’d imagine it gets canceled :face_without_mouth: Gotta get them numbers up next year

Here are the photos that I took, some duplicates from Ben…

I think I recognize that laminate on the baffle my tall friend. I like it. I hope others did as well.

Yep, I was askin’ about it!

Mr Eggguy, thanks for sharing it. The textured laminate worked like a champ, but I had to be very careful routing it (and yes, I swore a little when doing it) as it had a thin sheet of aluminum in it to give it the texture. I’ll bring the rest of the sheet to the next event to pass it along.

Alas, I didn’t take a photo of the cinnamon rolls, but I can vouch that they were rather yummy. Thanks a4eaudio.

The pictures of Kerry’s turtle sided speakers don’t capture their “presence”and their sound was just plain awesome, definitely the “Dog’s conkers”.

Any details on the speakers, drivers etc? I recognize a few, not all.

What’s the one with what looks like Fostex drivers?
