Anyone (offhand) know the output voltage of the DATS V3.0 on a Z sweep? I can set up a scope capture with a driver under test but thought maybe someone has done it /measured it before.
Been rebuilding plants and so have been offline for a while.
You can probably guess this is WRT the Mark Drivers I bought a while back. They want to know “how much voltage” I put across the drivers for the impedance test. It will be interesting to see where this goes.
It’s about 300mVrms (0.3Vrms), the same as a typical headphone output from a smartphone or laptop. This is a small signal measurement so it tries to avoid levels that would produce parameter drift based on drive level.
Where I work, we measure parameters at 0.3Vrms and 2Vrms using the Klippel analyzer, and the DATS parameter measurements are more like the 0.3V value.
John Murphy responded and said “max” output was 1V. Obviously, small signal parameters use less than this. This was requested as part of the Alpair 12P saga. The question being, did I damage the drivers by measuring them after 100 hours of break-in. No comments please, this is a still in progress study.
