Hey gang. Building another bluetooth radio for raffle. Using Sehlin’s Mercury design, and the tweeter has no offset and is raised a couple inches. Best arrangement for my design brings the tweeter down about 1/4” past the top of the woofer frame and 2” out from middle. Will this drastically alter sound or mildly alter sound? Appreciate any insight, i feel like i have asked this before and
- Cant remember
- Cant find where i asked.
Thanks and hope everyone is well!
This is how i would like to align….
The port being so close would have more effect IMO (baffle effects/diffraction). However, I can think of almost no occasion where any of this will make any appreciable negative impact to how it sounds in normal use. Folks generally aren’t sitting directly front and center to listen to a bluetooth speaker. So any minor baffle effect or non vertical alignment gets pretty lost in the room response IMO.
