Introducing Botzilla the Tricab Tallboy. Not really. It is a year or two away, but I have one more KAB 4x100 board left, so a party speaker with max SPL and max projection. It is a bit of a line array but not a CBT. The mid drivers will not be shaded. The center MMTMM will be passive XO around 1750 because of potential lobing and will be a 4 Ohm load for one channel. The outermost mids will do baffle step duties to reduce lobing by not going up to 1750, more like half that. Line arrays sound best at a distance so the challenge is making them sound better at normal listening distance. They will be on the second channel. The 6.5 subs will be driven by the remaining two channels. I have the subs and I have two GRS planar tweets with back cup. It will not be a speaker pair near sidewalls. It will be alone outside or in a big room.

I am an analog guy in a digital world. I am just a bit out of place. Sorry I am having trouble with tasks that probably seem routine to most.
No apologies required, Eggo - just keep going . . . and going and going and . . . . ![]()
As long as we are all thinking, learning, creating, producing, sharing our discoveries and keeping an open mind while being positive - you are my kind of people.
I’ve been thinking of a thermonuclear bluetooth solution. For when the guys here on the shop floor at work decide to blast their pop country and hard rap. I’m thinking compression drivers with plate amp integrated subwoofer. DB-drag on a dolly? The metaphorical middle finger ![]()
I’m only seeing white pages - maybe a Mac vs. PC issue?
I messed up something
Same on my phone; empty pdf files

I don’t quite understand what’s going on yet, but the drawings are there.
Seems like three different design ideas presented?
Its three, three, three cabinets in one.
Billy Mays would be proud![]()
Kind of like the traveling bluetooth speaker, but much larger?
Yes. We all have certain gifts. Why not combine them?
