I have never participated in the theme challenge. So I came up with an idea that utilizes drivers on the shelf. Our TV sits in an alcove that formerly was exterior french doors. There is about 4.25 inches of space on each side of the TV. The depth of the alcove is 9 inches in this area. These will be painted black with black cloth stretched around it. I will probably leave the cloth off for INDIY for proper nerding. The side firing woofers and front facing mids will be wired parallel. I plan to first attempt 2nd order acoustic slopes. The enclosure is a TL with a ratio of 8. I may need to put in a resistive vent for the mid enclosure, but I doubt it will be necessary. It wont be an audiophile speaker but it might be better than most sound bars. I will need to buy an AMP. to power these. Any recommendations? Fosi MC331?
