Replaced the handle mount bolts on the speaker cart so that is good to go. Planning to bring the stubby stands again as long as I didn’t hide them too well from myself.
Internal crossovers only, no? Rules used to mean something. I guess not in Indy anymore.
Another one in the books! I saw there were several smiles at any one time, whether my music selections or some fun was the reason.
There were a lot of really high end drivers this year, and the sound was just amazing through many of the designs.
There were only 5 entries for the theme, built by Tim(traw), Jack, DaveFred, 4thtry, and Eggguy. As seen above, Jack won.
Thanks to everyone for coming and having a blast!
I realy liked all the theme entries for different reasons. I thought every one nailed it. I can only think the voting came down to voicing preferences. Unless you guys could hear something that I couldn’t from the back of the room.
Freaking awesome time, love seeing everyone and all the great speakers!! Thanks again, Ben, for hosting. Thanks for all the kind comments on my speakers!
I’m sure others will post their pics, here’s mine.![]()
Thanks to Ben for hosting another great event. Enjoyed listening to several good looking and sounding speakers. Thanks to Nick for assisting with setups. Thanks to the person (?) that brought the chocolate chip cookies. Enjoyed munching on them as I listened to the cookie monster house track. Thanks to Dan for the used laptop. I will put it to good use measuring amps and preamps. Thanks to Eggguy for the nice hardwood cherry plank. This will look good lining the sides, front, and backs of my vintage 50s tube power amp build.
Great event, Ben. Had a good time. Very difficult on the theme builds! Heards some drivers that was new for me, good conversations!
I got only table shots, here are a few!
Beautiful work all! I’d love to know more about the podium and the speakers with the lights.
They look great, too!
Looks like you guys had a great time! So glad for you, wish I could have made it. I’m very interested in Dan N’s project (Revivals).
I am truly gobsmacked at the quality of those builds. Congratulations to Ben for his dedication and all who took part. Well done! InDIYana is on my bucket list.
They sounded great. And they kicked my TV speakers skinny little ass.
Wow - some stunning looking stuff!
Does anyone have pics of people so we can put faces to names?
