I have some kits I purchased when Meniscus closed shop that I’m not sure I’ll be making. I could salvage the individual drivers for something else of course, but I had the crossovers upgraded and made for me at the time. It’d be a shame to break these up. I suppose the adventurous could pull the crossover components off the boards if they wanted to.

Anyway, given their kit form I’m not sure anyone here would be interested. Some were rather pricey given the components, but I’m not looking to get back what I spent on them. These are in storage so I assembled this from memory (and old emails). If anyone is interested DM me and we can chat about it and get pictures and stuff.

I could probably be talked into shipping at cost if you aren’t going to be at Iowa this year.

Fosi Audio LC30 Speaker/amp selector switch $50 (comes with remote, you’d need your own USB-C power plug. Used once, works fine but I don’t have room for it with my setup)

Dayton Audio EMM-6 Mic + Mini-tripod + Case $25 (does not come with mic mount for a standard boom unless I can find one lying around, this one may be brand new otherwise - it’s still in its plastic sheath)

Dayton Audio EMM-6 Mic + Case $20 (smaller case, older, used)

I would love to take those RS180s off your hands. One of mine got dinged by a toy RC copter when the kids were little. Ironic that it was our oldest who did it and now he’s a pilot in the Air Force.

Sure thing Tom, sounds like that was a learning experience for him! What airframe(s) does he fly?

You’ll be at Iowa then, right?

If my memory serves these are brand new, unopened, originally purchased by me. I’ll dig them out of storage when I can and run some sweeps to verify functionality, then set them aside (provided they are good to go!)

He’s primarily flying the C-17 right now, but I know he has training on a few others as well.

C-17 is a great one to have hours on before exiting the Air Force. I knew some A-10 pilots when I was in and they lamented needing to get hours on larger frames before they would get job offers from airlines and such.

Anyone interested in these mini line arrays? I’ll sell them for less than I have in just the tweeters. They can get stupid loud and not compress at all. Several folks heard them in Indy a couple years ago. Let me know and I’ll haul them to Iowa.

You should know Tom! :-p you gave me 4 of the buyout 6.5" Peerless 835004 woofers (same ones LouC used in his Lecbos). The tweeters are Brad’s JF Component tweeters. They were $4.99 each, now on sale for only $2.99 each:

Those would be a blast in my garage…if there was room for them. :frowning:

They actually sound really good. I’ve never used a Peerless driver that I didn’t like. Drewsbrews commented at Indy that he liked how they virtually had no floor or ceiling bounce.

Craig, I showed those to my son and he wants them for his shop. Looks like I need to leave some room in my car to bring them home.

About 10 years ago, I found a buyout on Peerless 6 inch woofers. IIRC, they were $72 for a case of 12. Whipped up these towers in a jiffy, and they sounded great! Gave them to my best friend at work

Yes, and he encouraged me to build a version leaning back 15 degrees, which measured and sounded better! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
