New MTM

MTM using Motus 5" and a Chinese Beryllium tweeter. Should be a pretty good performer based on past experience with the Motus drivers.

Cut the flat packs today, will do glue up later. My least favorite thing so I always seem to find ways to procrastinate.

Picture of the tweeter. Definitely has a DXT vibe to it.

Anyways, going to be at Iowa.

I will be adding a couple smaller braces to tie the top and bottom together.

Is this the Beryllium version of the ceramic in the previous 3ways?

That was also a Be tweeter.

Oops, so second use of the same model then? Shows how much you liked it. :slightly_smiling_face:

It’s a different model.

Must be a secret?

They are NLA and so there is no link to them.

Man, you are PROLIFIC. All my designs seem to stop somewhere after the overall design process and often after I start purchasing a few things…then I lose my focus and have another idea to chase.

I have a lot of designs in various stages of development, like you I get distracted and pivot to a different project.

Been too humid here for working in my garage, else these would be all glued up. Waiting for a break. My garage is always 10 degrees warmer than outside which means it is around 95-100 in there. I just sweat too much these days.

Reminds me of the wrestlers in HS, wearing sweatsuits and working out in the boiler room. Us tennis players just went to the non-local pizza shop with fake IDs…

I feel your pain. And that of those in Europe as well since I cracked a tooth 2 days ago and have a crown scheduled shortly, the summer’s heat came upon us with attendant absurd humidity which killed my central AC system yesterday and has me sleeping in my basement with a 1985 circa window unit for cooling that I have to control temp manually while sleeping upon lawn chair cushions atop one of my narrow wall-mounted workbenches.

I guess it was just time for life’s negativity to snowball at the hottest time possible.

Snowballs, yeah! - go take cold shower in the humid 86* house and run downstairs and freeze under a blanket.

I could be worse, right?

I feel your pain Steve! Had that happen in my last house. Of course being a broke early adult didn’t help. I stapled a blanket over the opening to the dining room to block off the living room. Drug my mattress in and luckily borrowed a window unit from a friend. That lasted months till I could afford to have the central AC fixed.

Yeah, ours took a shit one summer during a streak of 100+ days. It sucked.
