Yeah, it’s been tested in a bunch of bass amps. Seems legit, but I still don’t get it. People strive for the “tube sound”, yet this SS “tube” is supposed to be acceptable? :man_facepalming:t2:

I’m sure it sounds great, as do a lot of SS powered amps. It really tells me the “tube sound” probably has a lot to do with transformer coupling.

That still works like a tube though. The V is a solid state push-pull oriented gain device in a tube shaped case.
