New Speaker Build: Teenage Mutant Ninja Two-ways

Hey guys, just finished up a new build and about to release the video within the next week. If you are coming to our event next week they’ll be there so you can hear them. They are 2-ways using our SDX10 and a 10” waveguide on our LD25X. The waveguides were provided by Javad and are based on the same design he did in the Apex.

A couple of cool things about this build. First the baffles are layered denim set in epoxy and are dead as can be. Second, the crossover ended up being 8th order acoustic (passively) at 900 Hz.

:turtle: Visually, insane looking awesomeness and the data looks like they sound amazing, fantastic.

8th order acoustic? How did that end up electrical? Lots of parts?

My wife is a huge TMNT fan. These look great, both physically and acoustically. Makes me wish I could attend your event :frowning:

It was more parts than I normally use but not crazy. I’ll post the schematic when I can.

Nice build! Was looking forward to seeing and hearing the TMNT’s and the CSS room. Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it out to Detroit this weekend.

Are you planning on doing a build video?

That’s pretty good especially considering the waveguide. I have yet to use one myself that didn’t benefit from a notch somewhere.

Here are the raw responses for reference.

Yes, the video will launch at noon today. Disappointed you won’t be able to make it this year.

That’s great - will look out for it. I have been wanting to check out the CSS audio room since you completed and posted pictures of it. Some day!

Sadly I will not be heading north tomorrow to meet with you fine gentleman. My first, second and third commitments are to others

I really love the style of these. I might steal the denim idea for a future project.
