Basically, I typed what someone else wrote, but states that the angel of Death or the Grim Reaper had a harder time with Chuck Norris dying than Chuck did.

My mother also passed away last week. She was 87, so she did outlive Chuck and would want you all to know that.

Sad news, my condolences
My mother passed away suddenly in 2001, but the passage of time doesn’t make loss any easier.One thing which you may find is that you will probably see many people who remind you of her and that brings the memories back.

Funny you should say that Geoff. This week alone I have seen three different older ladies that looked a lot like my Mom, who passed away over 11 years ago. Seeing them did bring back some great memories and feelings.
As an aside… My Dad passed away 5 years ago this month. Until this last year I never had a single dream where either of them were in it. This last year they are both frequently in my dreams. I have no idea why. I still miss both of them immensely!
I appreciate the thoughts and support. I wiil of couse miss my Mom, but I think she was ready and the end was relatively peaceful.
To Geoff’s point, between family and friends there are 3 women that remind me of my mother in different ways. One of the first things I did after the news was to begin working on a photo slideshow for her funeral reception. That seemed to help me put her life in perspective.
