Currently modifying a augerpro waveguide for SB 29 to see if that works better. 12uF inline.

Yeah, I think a tower rather than a stand mount is in order. I may, however, do a few different alignments in smaller enclosures and see what’s up. Maybe drive the standmount size down.

I’m happy to share the updated waveguide model for anyone interested. I’d also send some prints to someone who can take proper measurements.

I had thought about it but complexity of construction gets in the way.
Picked up the materials to build these cabinets today.

Had every intention of cutting flat-packs for these today, but decided not to. Just going to take it easy today, I think.
My current plan is to do the machining on the other MTM, start the bodywork and while the bodywork is curing cut the flat packs for these big boys. Tomorrow and Thursday both look good, then it’s going to start getting warm again.

I thought I would have time today after machining the other MTM to cut flat packs, and I probably would have but I pooped out. I’ll be doing the bodywork on the other MTM tomorrow, while filler is curing I’ll cut the flat packs. Assemble them as time and weather permits.
I plan both of these mtms being at Iowa.

Ordered some parts for this today, the 3" precision port chief among them. I hope to cut the flatpacks tomorrow while bodywork is curing on the other MTM.
Entering a prolonged heat dome here soon, not sure when I’ll get them glued up. They will be done for Iowa.

Yeah you’re right smack in the middle of that predicted heat dome. Gonna be pretty hot and humid here too but not quite as bad. My son and I are going to try and get all the laminate pieces cemented on and trimmed today between our in-pool wrestling matches LOL. He’s now 2" taller than me and 25 pounds heavier. If it weren’t for my high school wrestling experience… I’d be cooked!

While the heat dome is here, I am not sure if I will make any progress on gluing these up. Maybe I will though, who knows.
