Also surprised, she never had any kids.
As the story goes, my dad’s choir classmate married Dolly’s sister, and I met her once when they were in town. Rich actually was also Dolly’s backup singer.
Apparently, both Dolly and her sister had biological issues with attempting pregnancy, and were never able to conceive. It was one of the things they wished was different and wanted big families.

Dolly had a voice like no other and was blessed with a gift for writing some memorable songs.
