Menards has 10-pack WAGO 3-wire lever nuts on sale. I’ve seen others use em for protyping crossovers. I think I’ll pick some up.
The 50 pack is under $20 after rebate as well.
When I went there I saw the 25 pack of 5-wire lever nuts was $17 so I just got those. Those seem a bit more useful overall, especially if putting caps in parallel. I might still get a pack of the 3-wire ones. That might stretch capability for wiring up a pair of mid-low count 3-ways.
Recently replenished supply with Amazon.com
Sadly admit that i’ve called few speakers done with some of those still in there for connecting either drivers or sometimes just the input line because I fear I open up to f*** with the crossover yet one more time and not wanna bring speaker to solder station - maybe I need a cordless/butane solder iron
It helps keep things together and more tidy compared to a rats nest of clip leads, but I’m still not totally sold on them yet. I kept getting weird tweeter response and had to keep moving and twisting parts for it to settle out again. I never identified any shorts so ![]()
That looks like my current build too!
I picked up the 28 PC set (WAGO Lever Nuts) from your link at Amazon, thanks. They are great, and I like the fact that they have a probe entry point on the rear. Though I admit that might not have much impact on usage for prototype crossover use.
Nice extension cord for a good price. Could also be scavenged to make 12awg speaker cable lol.
That reminds me.. Menards has/had 25’ 12awg extension chords in red white and blue (with blue lit connectors) on clearance for under $17. I picked up 2x for the trailer. They have been on clearance for months so stock may have dried up in alot of locations.
Interesting 8” from Newark under their Multicomp Pro line (formerly MCM Audio Select).

1.5 cubes tuned to 38Hz with 0.5 ohms series resistance. F3 of 35 Hz. Sensitive, too. On sale for $40 right now.
Wavecor tweets on sale again . . . Wavecor TW030WA10 30mm textile dome tweeter, 8 ohm, 91dB.
Ridiculous price. I have an active project using that tweeter.
Does anyone know if the faceplate is removable on the Wavecors? I’m thinking WG, not that I have time for anything right now.
I’ll check when I get home.
The entire dome and coil assembly is attached to the faceplate, so no - faceplate is not removable easily. Might be able to detach it, but probably not worth it.
looks the same, I just did not take it any further.
Thanks guys!
On sale for $13.60. Very low distortion above 2500Hz IIRC. Outstanding build quality, especially considering the price.
Way back when when I still did sponsors for DDIY, MCM sent me a pair and one of them arrived with a damaged dome so I did a teardown on it. I am in the process of backing up my PC to a second external drive and came across these pictures.

Anyways, some slight errata on the FR that can be dealt with and/or is likely inaudible.
Grab ‘em while you can. I crossed mine at 3K to that fantastic MCM cast square frame white cone midwoofer for a very high value design. Gifted them to a friend long ago.
