I donât recall seeing anything here, which is probably good regarding the level of gossip in has generated, but PE has been sold. Rumor has it to a Private Equity firm. Lots of hemming and hawing about what it might mean for the future of PE and Dayton Audio branded products.
I was browsing PE, specifically a woofer I have considered before, and wanted to check the quantity discount. Most drivers in the past have had a quantity discount if you buy 4+ (sometimes 10+) and most xo components have a qty discount for 10+. I donât see any quantity discounts anymore. Obviously I didnât check âeverythingâ but I did check about 10 items that I know had qty discounts not very long ago.

I was just on there the other day and they had volume discounts. Gone now!
Free shopping may bump up to $150 rather than go away, but we shall see. Not exactly a lot of warm fuzzies coming from PE right now.

Not everyones cup of tea, but all the Goldwood stuff is 20% off. Can stock up on cheap port tubes or buy the carpeted subwoofer enclosures.

I had just ordered the 3.5 âpoint sourceâ, some anarchy 5âs and the wavecor 30mm faceless, will see if they snuggle into somasonus/augerpro waveguide intended for sb29xxxxâs. Didnât realize they were in the Nati area.
I have this strange love for those Audax TW025A2 tweeters. I know they arenât the best but they were the first drivers I bought from Madisound back around 1989. They sounded great to me paired with a pair of Image Dynamics 6.5â midbasses in my GTI.

I donât know about the quality of any cubic 3d printers but this seems like a killer deal. They have a unique take on the filament changer that clips it at the head and feeds it directly rather than another box holding and pushing filament into your printed. Not measure yet, maybe tonight if wife letâs me have fritter time heh. Plus need to print the other wg overnight which takes about 8 hours using 0.16 high quality setting and 35% infill. I was âdowngradingâ my âbufordsâ (SDC25 entry) which are wavecor wf223bd01âs 2 way with satori beryllium in same size WG with phase shield. Downgrade only in that less money lost if gift the speakers away later, though know small format version of these wavecorâs with a face running 115 at PE.
