I don’t think we’ve ever actually met, but I’m glad to hear you are on a better road now, health-wise. I know from hearing about my father-in-law’s health struggles that the VA can be a blessing - and sometimes a challenge.
Thank you Tom. Yeah the VA can be a real pain to deal with. When you consider that the VA is one organization with 3 distinct branches (health, burial, and compensation) and they do not talk to each other, at all.

Update:
I finally have a correct and understandable diagnosis. We’ve had to rule out a hosts of possibilities. IBS, restrictions, GERD, scar tissue, etc. The final test confirmed that I have gastroparesis. Basically, the stomach muscles are paralyzed or the strength is greatly reduced. There is no cure. And the cause is most often idiopathic.
There is only one FDA approved drug however it can have severe and permanent side effects. Orher treatments are temporary in nature. I can help relieve the symptoms with diet and timing. On a good note, I have lost about 40 lbs since last summer lol.
A more permanent solution might be to have a gastric pacemaker installed. Works similar to a heart pacemaker. Not a fix but it will help.

I’m happy to hear from you, Chuck. Sorry to hear about the health challenges. Father time is undefeated, so the best we can do is stay in the fight. Hopefully our paths will cross at an event in 2027.
