I’ll be there - probably can’t go more than 1 day though because time, etc., and likely Sunday because of kid activities Saturday. But I’ve gone the last couple years and enjoyed the show quite a bit.
I’ll be there networking this time, not exhibiting, so I’ll have more time for shennanigans

Checked their site. I think it is pretty cool they are doing a “Gen Z” reduced ticket rate. A real move to welcome the younger generation in getting them involved and interested. Since if you don’t do that.. it dies with us.

I’m not going to make it, but if anyone going gets a chance to listen to the PMC ATL’s, (assuming they are there) ie their small floor standers : the Prophecy 5s and/or 9s (with one 5.25 and two 5.25 woofers respectively) I’d be interested in your thoughts.
Seems they have pretty nice deep bass extension (and slow roll-offs) per online uTube reviews- but can they carry (fill) a decent size room ? Thx in advance

Mrs JR has a terrible poker face, meaning I am sure in some rooms she may offend the exhibitor with her body language. She is never one to pull punches when evaluating a speaker (she is my go to for final voicing), so it may prove interesting weekend lol.

Haha - sounds like my late wife. Rick Craig came to Atlanta and I invited him over about 2016 or so.
He had a $2500 SS / Viawave 2 way, I put on one of my torture tracks, Hogwood Mozart’s reqieum. After a few minutes she pokes her head in and announces “Those sound like crap”
(And she was right! no clarity to the massed voices for some reason.)
But he was a gentleman about it…..

Curious do people normally spend a day or multiple days? We’d be going to visit family also so I was thinking of just going on Friday. Goal, listen to a wide variety of speaker designs, hear what works, what doesn’t, and see interesting products. No plan to buy, just observe…It seems large, I’d be open to hearing “cheats” or “hacks” for how to approach it if I want to do it in 1 day.
