You can’t cover all rooms in a day even if you are just hopping (I can’t do justice even across 2 days). Spend a bit of time to look at the exhibitors to shortlist what you want to visit. Usually the big speakers are on the lower floors and then the top floors. Some rooms are pretty random and not really speaker focused. And, take the elevator to the top and then take stairs to come down as you are covering the floors, else you’ll be waiting forever for the elevators. And some rooms will be just plain bad luck - too crowded to enter or there’s waiting or private audition. Some designs and/or music will be remarkable, most will be forgettable and there will be at least one which will make you smile since it’s so bad, your crappy unfinished MDF stuffed in a corner on a table will easily beat in both looks and sound - good times!
Ani that is insightful, thank you.
I remember that! I think it was his OEM ribbon-ish tweeter though, right? And SB Satori midwoofer.
I’m planning to be there all three days, so I’ll hopefully meet up with many of you when you’re there.
I still need to confirm family plans before I buy tickets. I suspect Friday is my day. I wasn’t planning to do Saturday’s congestion and think Sunday is going to be a travel day. Still planning.
It will be a half day for me Friday as I won’t arrive until around noonish.
Kerry and I are booked for the Wyndham Garden for Th, F and S nights. Anyone looking should check it out - they had a few rooms left at $133/night including taxes and fees and it’s a 7 minute walk from the Axpona convention center. Hope it’s not a shithole!
Definitely closer than we are. Glad they run a shuttle for us. Hope to see you guys there!
I was going to stay with family in the Chicago area. What is parking like?
Parking is free at the event with ticket
Lots of it. They have shuttles too.
I picked my hotel specifically because they said they offer shuttle service to and fro.
What the Hey? No feedback / impressions from Axpona 2026?
It’s only February.
I’ll be there Friday, not sure about Saturday and Sunday. I might be helping out in the Cymatix room.

Nick, Elk Grove Village is only about 50 mins from me!
We’ll talk Craig.
Looking forward to hearing the “small” version of Tom’s (Cymatix) gigantic towers!
They aren’t really smaller, just a different shape and less expensive to build, so they can be sold for a lower price.
