Sounds like the 18ga silicone stuff will probably not work for my 6.3V heater wiring due to the twisting problem. What would you suggest for heaters? I’d like to stay away from anything with PVC insulation, as that melts easily when soldering. Stranded teflon 18ga?
I used ptfe where I could and the more pliable silicone where the wires needed to flex for often opening the top plate of the tube tester. The ptfe is fairly stiff and stays put, don’t think it’s something one would like flexing a lot. Also 600v. rated.
