Or so we are told. What is real any longer? - your perceptions/creations or those of a machine refined by humans with expertise in the field of endeavor?
The clarity of minds that went into creating a “machine” capable of this kind of artistic creativity is mind boggling.
The act of plagiarism is just another way of saying; “I wish I had come up with that”, isn’t it?
So in a sort of rebellion against the machines, I offer a human [me] generated drum track and mix against their “work”.
Emulation of others’ behavior is the highest form admiration/flattery . . . me thinks . . .
One last thought - it is an absolute pleasure/joy/privilege to have this tech available to me because I have been able to grow as drummer/budding sound engineer more in the last couple of years more than in my prior combined existence because I am working with zero egos - just pure perfection as a source and now able focus on an objective.

Same drumming - just a lot of nuances refined in the mix by changing some cymbal and drum samples/tuning/velocity envelops/decays & spread the freq ranges of the kit out to give greater sonic depth - I’m happy with this mix - hope you enjoy.

I wasn’t sure about this mix and take 2 days ago so I let it lay and it sounds pretty good to me on fresh ears/headphones:
I had to try to finally nail this one to the wall for some (egotistical/self reliance?) reason and *think* I have succeeded with this 1st take and mix tonight. [after having left it alone for 2 months].
More Peter Gabriel - This is a recent remaster of some of his much earlier work.
This mix sounds good on the Sony MDR-7506’s to me . . . even the drumming . . .
Good woofer test, this one is.
OK, another Peter Gabriel tune that you have probably heard before.
I did one take to get something to mix with then laid down this 2nd take on the drums - I was surprised how it just flowed out without effort - just pure focus . . . (minds’ eye).
This one has far more mixing effort in it than does the drumming.
Another bit of AI generated stuff - it has such a perfect mix that it makes me dislike mixing to old analogue tunes from the past unless they are nearly as well produced. (Getting spoiled?).
Listen for the fat bass drum licks - I like this sound in this mix . . .
