Off topic discussion - no food, booze, politics, or religion

We have threads dedicated to food and booze, and politics and religion are simply not allowed.

I’ll add an official ‘Off-topic’ category and then see how I can move a post into it.

No easy way to move a post (move post button, option, etc) but you can edit the main post and simply select a different category. That makes sense I suppose, and gets the job done nicely.

The dryer said the vent was plugged. I don’t know how that could happen. It’s been just fine for 25 years. This was probably half of what was in the vent.

Testing posting pics

My dryer threw the same error. The bird cage outside fell off and of course a nest was built in there. Gross job getting it cleaned out.

My water heater has forced exhaust through a 2” PVC pipe. One day it shut down and was flashing a code for vent obstruction. I went outside and mud dobbers had built nests behind the wire mesh that was blocking the opening. Little bastards!!

A tragic B757 airliner crash was caused by wasps making their nests in the pitot tubes when staff forgot to install the ‘Remove Before Fight’ sleeves and the tubes got full of mud. The airliner crashed because the instruments were giving conflicting speed and altitude readings.

My son and I are on our way to the NASCAR Cup race at World Wide Technology Raceway in St. Louis. It’ll be his second Cup race. Weather is predicted to be 75F and sunny with 0% chance of rain. We should be getting home around 12 AM or so. He has school tomorrow and I have work. Thank goodness for coffee! lol

Wow!! Good on him for figuring all that out!! Pretty frickin awesome👍🏻

I had one of my Ryobi 4ah batteries brick on me out of the box, I was able to get it warrantied but was a pain in my ass.

I do have two aftermarket batteries for Ryobi - I bet they are nowhere near as smart.

How “smart” do we want our batteries. Seems like they are looking for ways to brick them as battery controllers have been neer perfected for a long time now.

For a day like today.

I needed a second vehicle to commute 2 times a week, so I went and got a thing.

Was very tempted to get a livewire del mar, but was over budget.

Please be very, very careful! Look at every car as someone who is on their phone and not seeing you.

Or actively trying to get me…

Congrats! Looks like a great bike.

Keep your head on a swivel, as they say. I had a good stretch with no close calls, but they must have let all the crazy people out on the road this week.
