Yikes!
Current forecast shows 8.4" tonight into tomorrow for West Bend, WI, plus or minus a few inches depending on when the rain transitions over to snow. All rain right now. I heard Green Bay, Wi is going to get over a foot of snow.
A “heat dome” settling i over the west . Won’t be too bad over the coast
But I have a buddy lives in Palm Springs - forecast for this Friday is 107. In March
It’ll be 35 here tomorrow and 25 Tuesday. It hit 75 here today.
Got up to low 70s here but mega windy. Didn’t stop me from getting some stuff done.
The upper control arm was the worst (can’t realy see it) The center balljoint wouldn’t let go so I had to slowly work out the bolts that hold it to the diff with a crescent wrench. Then the pinion was free to go all slack and was real fun getting the new balljoint lined up with the new control arm that has fresh stiff bushings and doesn’t want to bend. It drives better, but somehow even more pops and rattles. Gotta go back in and snug everything up again. New OE ride height springs and new isolators got about 1.5" of lift compared to the saggy old springs and flattened isolators. So it’s got some rake at the moment. I imagine about half of that will settle out. Waiting on some bushings and more nice weather to redo the front.
Oah and I found that passenger’s side seems to have a leaking axle seal.. Inside the rotor shield is covered in oil. yay me.
Cars are pain.

The kids get a snow day today (no school). Unfortunately we don’t get snow days at work.
At my Primary School in the 1960s, we were allowed to go home when the temperature reached 90F - but before the days of affordable A/C, it was hotter at home. No snow days, but.
Our great nephews in Iowa City used to get snow days, although their house was literally over the fence from the school!
That’s a crazy incident!!
Side note, so glad this site doesn’t have all those adds and pop ups going all the time like that site!! Fucking annoying![]()

Only about 70% of our workers made it in today. None of our executives showed up lol. My normal 12 minute drive took 30 mins.
Only two of us made it to the office today. Driving wasn’t that bad. Almost nobody on the road. The rest of our staff are just wimps!
It was 20” for me here in NE WI. My parents an hour north had 29”. Spent four hours digging out myself and a couple neighbors. I’m a hurtin’ unit. LOL
Holy crap! We might have drifts that deep, but only got about 4” according to Google. The main streets are cleared and dry already. Stay warm!
in Minneapolis, we got between 1 to 2 feet as per google, most was around 10-12 inches, but the wind created drifts that were quite high in places, that it wouldn’t fit in out 2 stage 24” snow blower, had to showel, scoop the top off, before blowing….! This was the most snow we got this season in one go, that too after the lawn was completely snow free after a nice warn spill!
Mountain lion roaming downtown Sioux Falls…
This occurs semi-regularly. Usually younger males dispersing from the Black Hills region. They find SoDak lions all the way to the East coast.

For many years there have been reported sightings of ‘big cats’, either pumas or panthers, in parts of Victoria (Oz). Their ancestors were supposedly US Army mascots released at the end of WW2 or escapees from circuses or private zoos. Despite years of studies and research, there hasn’t been any proof; photos and videos seem to be of large feral domestic cats which can grow rather large.
