Got a “relic” telemaster coming , all the chinese chrome hardware is .. well … chrome. Have any of you ever tried to antique hardware like this ?

Thats the one , so yeah , basically a jazzmaster offset body with telecaster hardware.
I’m working on some speaker stands. I’ve decided the basses will need outriggers since the cherry I had wasn’t all that wide.

My Son and I drove up to the town just north of the border (Beloit, WI) this morning and bought a set of Amercan Racing Torq Thrust rims with some decent tires. They are kind of hard but probably good for a summer season or two. They are 245-40R18’s. When I replace them I will go with 245-50R18’s. We will definitely be lowering the Ranger 4" in the back and maybe 2" in the front so it doesn’t look so “Hooptie” lol!

Yeah a lil more meat on them bones would be nice.. but it is bringing me back 25 years to the good ol days

2 4 drop would look good on that ranger. Now you need some 90’s splash graphix for the side.

Brings me back to my HS days. My good friend bought a white cougar / black interior from a relative- upgraded the engine / exhaust/ and went with American Wheels. It was sweet. I’ve been a fan of these wheels ever since.

Here’s a recent clip from Kevin Borich, an Oz (really from NZ) guitar legend. I love the guitar tone he gets, I think it’s a Gibson Firebird through a Fender Twin. His son’s on drums.
Fun fact: his band ‘The La De Das’ recorded ‘Come Together’ the week before The Beatles released it: they were recording some tracks at Abbey Road and the producer didn’t like the material, so he suggested they cover the Beatles’ song instead.
