You should design new crossovers for them. I’ll bet you could improve the response. That looks like a decent woofer - cast aluminum basket?

Remove the woofers, ditch the cabs, bring them to me.
Got the chassis back from the machine shop, they did a great job. The fit was perfect. I sanded a couple pieces of maple to get the VU assy sitting flush and CA glued those and a piece of MDF for the driver board.
I’m frickin diggin it!! I’ve wanted to make this happen for so long.

One easy thing you can do to prolong the life of the power switch is to add a Triac.

And this is why I’m not in the electrical field of employment. I’ve never even heard of a triac before. All these years I thought momentary push button power on/off situations were relay driven. They were likely triac driven, and/but they do work/function like a relay.
So, is the GDO the momentary switch stop button?

I’m stuck in 1975. Using my “super-pooged” Dynaco ST400 to voice my latest build. The front panel R/L channel volume pots on the ST400 make it very easy to SPL match one of Wolf’s Nephila speakers to one of my Divide and Conquer speakers. I have it set up with my DIY A/B switchbox between preamp and power amp. Very easy to hear small differences in tonal balance.

Saw a preview s few days prior, and made sure I was up early to watch it. Interesting…
I picked up a couple class A board just like these below. Could any of you recommend a case for it ? There is no other hardware that came with them ( POT , jacks etc etc). I havent decided on a PSU yet , Ive read where some guys will use an external power to power them ( laptop type power brick). I suppose maybe a case with enough room to house a PSU internally if it goes that route.

If it truely is a class A space heater, I bet it is gonna need some heatsinks to attach the angle aluminum to.
Could build a case using heatsinks as integral sides like I did for my chip amp build:
I purchased precut 6"x12" aluminum plates and did some drilling and tapping. I attached the 1/2" plywood pieces with angle aluminum.
I purchased a bunch more of those heatsinks, but they packed them poorly leading to most of them getting damaged. I could find the best pair and send em to ya if you are interested. I also have plenty of cutoffs of that plywood. I could throw a few in the package too. I think I got the aluminum plate off amazon. I’d have to look through my order history.
I’d bet it is by far the cheapest way to go about getting a decent looking result. Premade amp enclosures aren’t cheap, and you still need to modify them to suit a custom build. So it isn’t like you are saving a whole bunch of work for the extra cost.
[edit] Yeah I got the aluminum plates (6"x12"x1/8") on amazon, but the specific seller doesn’t have it anymore.

I got em on amazon first, then got a bunch from aliexpress, but the aliexpress order they just shoved em in a bag and shipped them across the globe so they arrived pretty mangled.
