Hit a milestone on the might Sorento today. Bought her new in 2019. Been a good enough ride for me. Sprung one oil leak and the SD card for the nav died, both covered under warranty.
Relatively low mileage for a 6+ year old vehicle, but that is now changing since my new commute is 110 miles a day. I plan on doing that through the winter and next spring at which time we will consider relocating. I should know by then if I really enjoy the job or not, although so far so good.
Couple perks.
Salary are expected to work no more than 40 hours.
I get to leave my work phone on my desk when I leave for the day. We run no night shift.
Really the only two drawbacks are I had to shave off my beard (I have to wear a respirator from time to time) and the commute.
Anyways, never mind the 70mph - I was also in a construction zone lol.
I think there was 120 cars or so. There was a pretty good mix of cars and trucks, from Ferraris to dancing bed mini trucks to a Fiero, an Escort, to RX7’s, to VW GTIs. Not to mention all the ols school BMX bikes! Unfortunately it rained that evening, not a show ending down pour, just a miserable drizzle. Good time regardless. Got some great comments on my Saturn, the only one there🤘🏼
I just ordered another 32GB of RAM for my home video editing PC. Holy cow, the prices are insane now. The first 32GB G-Skill DDR4 kit was $60 in late August - now it’s $145!!
Measured some Focal car audio speakers. There were two different 6" K2 midbasses. One had a smaller VC and magnet (SVc)
Pics of the larger VC (BVc)units…
Finally going to try some water based contact adhesive to use with laminate. The Wilsonart construction water based contact adhesive from HD (was suggested to me here by someone, don’t remember who). If it works that should allow me to apply it indoors. Not stocked locally so I get to twiddle my thumbs for a while until it arrives. Gives me time to get off my arse and pre-cut some laminate.
