Maybe my skizzors are just dull but they don’t cut the denim for crap.

Walmart sells these:

Great shop shears! They have about 4 different sizes and models.

From Menards.

If it’s the ultra-touch thingies, just tease out the edge by hand to loosen the fibers and then rip by hand. The fibers are pretty loose and you won’t get a straight edge, but they rip pretty linearly. But also beware you will get a lot of fibers particles all over the place.

That’s what I use too (the Walmart scissors).

Don’t laugh but these cheap Hazzard Fraught scissors have worked great for me:

45 years ago my Dad and I were working on a 1973 Super Beatle that he bought for a winter beater. There were a couple of exhaust bolts we just couldn’t get to with our standard wrenches. So we went to the local K-Mart (before there was such a thing as Harbor Freight) and bought this cheapo 10 mm wrench for like 50 cents. He heated it up cherry red and bent it with a sledge hammer in the bench vice. Worked like a champ. I found it today in a box of tools I saved before he died 5 years ago. Seems silly but I remember going through that whole process with him like it was just last year. He had skills.

I’ve posted this before, but please note the brand name: this was so cheap and soft I think it could have been bent without your father’s treatment.

I bought a few of these for fun and gave them to mechanically minded friends and my garage, just so they could say “hand me that f - - spanner”.

That’s great, Craig!

That looks like an old Craftsman wrench.

Yup. Tom for the win! Lifetime warranty. I wonder what they would say if I took this in and asked them for a new wrench???

I finally got around to putting the rack back together and getting a shelf for the printer. Now I need to add some home lab stuff to the rack.

I’m not even sure where you would take it these days. I miss Sears…

I think Lowes and Ace currently sell the Craftsman brand. I doubt they do the free, no queations asked replacement like Sears used to. I sure miss Sears and Radio Shack!

Does anyone add a fire surpression system to their 3D printer?

No, they aren’t that big of a risk. Your toaster oven is a bigger concern. Most 3d printers are less than 350 watts total power.

I just discovered these guys. Pretty cool.

Do you have a blog or thread somewhere describing your solar setup?

Not really. Spend considerable time here https://diysolarforum.com/ If you only want a solar, or solar assisted mini-split, they are several brands floating around out there. Here are some of the more popular ones I see posts about on the forum All Products - High Efficiency Appliances - Signature Solar Not endorsing this company in any way, just see more posts on the solar forum concerning this brand.

If you are considering adding solar to your residence or business, there may be considerable state and local regulations, including the local housing authority. Your poco will also heavily influence what you can and cannot do.
