I searched for a thread with pictures of people’s builds and didn’t see one. Let’s see those creative speakers. When mine are done I will add. Just thought it would be cool to see the different ideas.
Alot of stuff is on the old retired forum. It is still live for archival purposes Here
Here is a link to previous year gatherings where folks bring their builds: https://gallery.midwestaudio.club/
That link doesn’t have the latest stuff yet. I’ll sift through the forums and update this post with links I find.
Links from the old forum are at the thread page where photos begin to be posted. There are more photos on subsequent pages.

If you want to ask about a certain speaker I’m sure we’ll be able to flesh out more details for ya.
Cool idea. Photoshop (or Affinity, Pixelmator, etc.) are my best tools, as DIY Iowans can attest.
Keep ‘em coming.
MASSIVE bonus points for “The Expanse” on in the background.

Those are some impressive builds. ![]()
The greatest space opera EVER!
my last ‘one’ same 1.5way sealed woofer box (.5 on back by floor), 3 different toppers

Those slapshots look huge!
The Slapshots MLTL use the same sized cabinet as Paul Carmody’s “Core” and “Amiga”, so they’re not too big. About as big as I’d want to lug around, but.
PETT has a build with an even larger cabinet which is supposed to dig deeper.
All of you are TALENTED. I still need to work on my wood working skills for sure.
Not me, a friend of the family made the Slapshot cabinets: my subsequent builds are very rough!
Here are some builds of mine.
The Lydias and Allisons were wedding gifts for 2 sisters. I did everything except the legs and tops which were made by Weldon, the father of the brides. One pair is in oak and the other is in cherry. Any of the speakers listed below that weren’t made by me or that I had help on were by my good friend Weldon. He also built the equipment cabinet with tamboured doors in this picture
The original C-notes. I think PE borrowed my name.
I didn’t build the hex cabinets but I did replace the woofer baffle and re-veneer it. The sub has a 12" Shiva woofer.
A speaker I helped my nephew with. He made the cutouts for the drivers and made the CTC a lot bigger than I wanted.
I didn’t build the cabinets but I designed the system which was all active 26 years ago. It had all analog electronics including a linkwitz transform circuit for the Shiva sub. A few years ago I replaced the electronics with a Minidsp and a passive crossover between the mids and tweeter.
Here’s another speaker with a built in 12" powered sub. I had help with the big round overs.
