RESTOCKED Fosi Audio ZA3 Balanced Stereo Amplifier with 48V Power Supply $107

Thanks, I nabbed it.

That Fosi Amp’s supposed to be a decent one. Give us your impressions, once you have got a chance to listen to it, Ed.

This is not on sale but a great tweeter at a great price. Peerless Beast Mode back in stock at PE.

Maybe I missed this, but when a lot of the Peerless stuff was coming back in stock I checked for the Peerless DX25BG60-04 and it did not show that it was coming back. Just happened to see it today, 142 in stock at pretty much the old price of $35.26.

That’s a great tweeter. Thankfully at 35$, the price has not gone up in multiples like some other existing drivers

Faceplate easily removed on that tweet to slap into visaton 148 waveguide? While able to print waveguides now, have a left over set of them and a decommissioned box already for it already. Easy enough to print up some custom mount brackets. Though not itching to and await sale, though PE sales been soft lately. Though sometimes I just want to shed excess stuff that not sure return to.

Faceplate does remove easily. I think it may require the little 3D printed adapter like the XT25.

The rumor is that is doesn’t measure great in the Visaton WG but I haven’t seen measurements that I can refer to.

PE sales have been a little soft but Black Friday/Cyber Monday is close.

Yeah, I used it in that waveguide and was not too impressed with it.

ā€œBeastmodeā€ (DX25BG60) in wg148:

Some measurements posted here: (the final project used beast nipple I believe)

And another:

@traw I got some adapters. I’m not sure if I’ll end up using em but I don’t feel right with letting them sit unused since Craig was nice enough to supply them to me. If you might try the combo I can get them to you at the next meetup.

BTW - Congrats on the PE project write-up, Drew!!

Yeah i’ll prob just leave it be, maybe drop off the waveguide on back table of an event marked as free. Sometimes just need to let go. Enough on my plate to keep me entertained for now.

Just got this in my inbox! Very Cool @DrewsBrews , more formally Andrew G. as Parts Express calls you

:exploding_head: Oah dang! My email loves to shove promo stuff in other folders and block the images so I missed it.

PE has had that A400 amp on sale now for the third week. Looks like a lot of amp for $600. I don’t understand the need for a volume knob though. I doubt many folks would want to feed it a single source only.

AMTHR4 only $75, starting 11/10/25, according to the new sales flyer.

It does not say it is a sale price however, could be a new lower price.

What’s your thoughts on that tweeter after using it?

Easy to work with but might not match the perfomance the price tag implies.

I disagree, and really like them a lot. Low HD, detailed, dynamic, and very capable.

Oh, and I feel the salt was worth the harder than average squeeze.

They look a lot better at $75, @ $100 (what I paid) there is some stiff competition.

And them saying it will play down to 1800 while it might be possible it does not sound good. :face_vomiting: Build quality is meh as the folds are inconsistant and one of mine is slightly skewed.

It does sound good, but only after some serious crossover attention. In my last sim that was sounding good I had a much higher than average parts count.

Spending $200 on a pair of tweeters that needs that much work does not equal good value in my book. If it isn’t a value contender then it needs to have somthing special.

2.2k is the lowest I would take them. I don’t have the same QC consistency issues in my pair. As good as these sound, I still say they are worth the cost, whether needing more parts or not.
