Instead of derailing technodanvan’s threads again (sorry man) I decided to start this new thread.
I plan to bring my original pair of Chachos so we can have some fun beating on them and comparing them to Scott’s new project using similar sized drivers and enclosures.
I also plan to bring this pair of speakers that Mike C. built and had me take the measurements and design/voice/build the crossovers.
I would love to go but I just can’t manage it. I have very fond memories of the first and only time I went and my wife came along. My liver however was not happy with some of you.
I hope to bring two pairs - one I call the Active Redemptions. Last year’s boxes & woofer, but I’ve changed a few things that hopefully make them sound much better. The second pair has roots that go all the way back to the Iron Driver event featuring the Peerless 830656.
Sure - name your price! I can build a pair for our daughter for Christmas. They’ll sound great with the vintage Pioneer receiver and Technics TT I gave her.
I’ll be bringing two sets. The K2’s which are a full Kartesian build using the WOM165 VHE-8, 6.5 inch woofer and the TWT30 VMS-8 1, 1-1/8" tweeter and the TWT30 Horn faceplate. The second set are the Graduates which are Purifi PTT6.5x08-naa08, 6.5 in woofer and a Satori TW29TXN-B Tweeter.
Crossover parts for the Graduates were ordered last night, so I should have them complete by the meet, assuming my measurements and modeling are accurate. I always hate the waiting on the parts…
I’m still planning on being there but whether I bring something with me is…questionable. Since the redesign of my speakers is taking longer than anticipated I have enlisted the help of someone to help me with the crossover. I had hoped this would be the first one I’d tackle myself in its entirely but I just started way too late.
