Cool. I’m not certain I’ll be coming, but if I do, I’ll try to book there.
Thanks for the links. Some Dayton drivers? That brings it close to home.
So Lucca is new to the game and needs room to improve. I give him credit for ambition and trying a different concept with 3D printing. Maybe he will earn enough to help get through college.
Plan to come in Friday. May return on other days depending on family.
looking forward to it.
Kerry and I will be in the area around 1:30pm tomorrow looking for a meal and a cold drink. Hit us up if you’re in town.
Wish I could have gone, but maybe next year I can get to another event to hang out with you guys again.
That would be awesome!
Just checked in for my flight. Bryan, Mrs. JR, and myself will be at the venue around lunch time. Feel free to DM me here for my phone number if you want to connect and meet in person.
Kerry and I just sat down at the Westwood Grill if anyone is in town yet.
For anyone attending the show, as JR said, DM us for cell phone numbers. Altho if you do a quick search you’ll find mine.
Stoked to see some familiar faces again, and hopefully meet some new DIY brethren.
ONE MORE WAKEUP
Sitting at airport, listening to a pair of inexpensive Sony cans. The ANC is decent, SQ is average. Lightweight which is nice. WH-CH720N. About a hondo on Amazon currently. My new traveling cans. Leaving the Audiotechnica at home.
Headed there this morning. Going to follow the advice to start at the top.
Anyone know if you can go in and out for lunch or if the food onsite isn’t bad? Maybe meet up for lunch for those present Friday.
anybody keeps tab on the songs or music being played at Axpona - sometime there are a few tracks which seem to the flavor?
Looking forward the pictures and comments and bad room placement stuff!!!
3 hours 3 floors
So far treble clef audio. Lockwood. Sit in memory though others like mafo and kii were interesting. Have to look back at notes to avoid recency effects
Material variation, quality and sound level is an issue for ear and choice optimization fatigue. So much here
We are at lunch currently and plan on being there by 2:30 or so.
Room 705. Philharmonic Audio. Best I heard.
Also Room 1426. Some of Nick’s work.
In listening to a lot of things so far, Nick’s is truly among the very best sounding.
There are plenty of well-reviewed products that range from meh to drive me out of the room bad. Few engage me enough to keep me around. I’m not pretending I could do better but plenty that are not my jam..
