I have access to a small Epilog and larger ULS laser cutters at work.

Nothing beats a big sweep bench top AMM, but I think it is cool you can still at least get pocket size AMMs locally for “a tenner”.

Is there a limit to the number of pictures per post?

I assumed 5. Like other forums. I don’t remember if I tested that or not yet though.

I think it was initially set at 5 when we moved to the new forum. But I think @JasonP re-set it to a higher number. When posting event pics, I have gone as high as 12 pics per post with no problems. I reduce the size to about 400k or so for each pic, otherwise it takes forever to upload a large number of pics.

Fellow bassist that bought one of my amps needed some work done to one of his cabs. He wanted to have a switch to go between full range and low passed for “subwoofer” duty. I got a 4PDT switch and wired it up.

Little jam on the system…

Cool, had wanted to do that couple times to toggle from passive xover to bypass for if wanted to active/dsp drive it. Had looked at a rotary 4 pole though was getting a little mind bending accounting for that times 2 on a 2 way and the switch i was looking at getting spendy, not crazy but still 20 bucks per if I recall. Imagine toggle switch for each driver-network much less.

There are many YouTube videos about ‘borrowed’ songs and tunes, but I found this one particularly interesting for the last segment, where one riff - Bobby Parker’s “Watch Your Step” - has been recycled many times:

Someone just posted this on diyaudio….

“Not sure if this has been mentioned yet here. I was at Parts Express today, and the guy who rung me up told me Parts Express/Dayton Audio has been sold to some other firm in Ohio. I don’t remember the name of the company, but they’re not at all affiliated with audio. Don’t know if it’s private equity or what. Anyways, I was told big changes are coming, potentially including the end of the annual speaker design competition”

It was mentioned recently to me that Stahl is soon retiring from the day to day portion. This is a possible outcome.

Interesting clouds last night.

This is quoted from one of my contacts at PE.

Let’s hope it goes better than when Newark took over MCM and killed a bunch of nice drivers.

Let me say it again

Sadly, I’d say we’re going to loose some nice drivers.

Fuck yeah!!

I’m afraid you are right.

Melbourne is forecast to reach 42C (107F) today - a good day to stay inside and listen to good music.
Given that Melbourne is the second most southern State capital before Hobart, you’d wonder why it gets hotter than Sydney. Apparently it’s mainly because our summer weather comes straight from the inland deserts, while Sydney has the Dividing Range and Blue Mountains to shield it somewhat.

Meanwhile, our great nephew in Iowa City is complaining about the cold!

It’s not that bad here in Iowa today. Might even hit 50 tomorrow!
