108 left. Get them while they are hot!
You shouldnt have to turn it to 11 , just saying , I mean, if you wanted to …
I already have 4. Maybe I should break my “no more drivers” rule and buy 4 more for a pair of iso’s per tower. That’s a lot of potential ouput for a tower not too much larger than a cube and a half! I thought $26 each was a steal.
I think Nick Claus and I might be cooking something up using the big Heil…
I have been watching these to see if they would go on sale. I have plans for a TMWW I have a Wavecore that should work well as the mid, but I am undecided on the tweeter.
Speaking of deals, I ordered a pair of those poly 8" on sale at Newark and received them a few days ago, today I received an additional pair. No explanation. So now I have another quad of 8" drivers. These model very similarly to the paper cone, but lack the copper in the motor.
Newark sent me a response about the extra pair you received. Reach out to me for the correct return shipping address; Surprisingly, the return address is in the Grand Rapids area… ![]()
Sigh.. ordered 6x. Not proud of it. Had a whim that it could be a cool 2-way with the beastmode in the SEOS WGs so I tacked on two more to the 4x order.
96 left boys! We can do this!!!
MP011860 with the buyout wavcor tweeter and a pair of these 8inch woofers would be a great TMWW. That would be an extremly high value tower!
Had considered, wish more intriguing pitstops, 10hr drive. Used to make that kind of trip to visit brother in South Carolina, but now he in NW IN. But main thing is Oct gets crazy at work prepping for holiday season (ecommerce life). But I been thinking about going back to ‘financials’ sector that experienced in to ride the train to end of the line. Sucks getting old.
These (assuming quality hasn’t slipped since they were introduced) punch above their weight at MSRP. At this price…if I had time I’d be thinking floor to ceiling line array and pondering what to put in front of them.
Has anyone entered the specs into WinISD or eqiv. to see if the specs. are correct? Something seems off.
Are the 55-5670 the ones that compare favorably to the rs225?
That’s my plan.
I measured the T/S on mine when I started working on them late last year. If I remember later I’ll try to pull up the DATS measured parameters for ya. But the measured T/S modeled pretty similarly to the manufacturer T/S. A pair work well in about 2.4cuft tuned in the low to mid 40s. I went larger and tuned to 35hz on mine because I wanted a bit more low end. These things are definitely not subs. They’re clean through the midbass but don’t have much low end.
I measured my four after I broke them in (4 or so years ago). They measured very close to the published T/S. Tom S and I measured them again in Iowa with his measurement rig. Again very close to my measurements and the manufacturer’s. They are not subwoofers but they are very nice woofers. Lot’s of real xmax compared to the RS225’s. At ~$15 each they are a complete steal.
Heres a tweeter to go with them …
Who’s doing an MTM? That would be sick.
