Measurements Iâve gathered for the 55-5670 over the years from a few folks seem to either follow closer to factory specs or tune higher. Makes me wonder if that is the difference between before and after breakin.

⌠like the rs225 when the bass line hits. 
So not more ârealâ xmax, just safer. The RS has plenty of xmax. Dayton/PE should update them with a bumped back plate or a bumper for the VC to hit.

I ordered a pair of those Wavecor from Cinergy, I think I will be doing either a large MTM or a TMM using these Multicomp 8" and that tweeter. Might be able to talk Nick Claus into building a pair, as well.

I agree on the Reference woofers lacking bump protection. I smoked a RS180 when it jumped the gap and destroyed itself against the back plate. Better soft parts or a bumped back plate would help tremendously.

My MCM 8âs arrived today, that was quick. Peeked then stashed in basement shelf. Cone has sim look to wavecor fiber paper.
Also, hereâs a snapshot of those 22mm wavecors ($15) at CinergyAudio in the augerpro elliptical waveguide intended for css ld22 - used fuzzy surface.

I think I have to get 4 more. I was debating on 4 or 8 for an ISO setup. With one pair per tower I will have a 4 ohm load. Two pairs per side, back to 8 ohms. Still should have decent sensitivity with one pair per side.
I just ordered a dozen because with eight I donât get free shipping and 10 is a âweirdâ number. My thought process should be analyzed by a professional.

I have a pair on the shelf. I really want to buy 2 more but I think Iâll wait and pick up a pair for like $10 off the back table at InDIYana in a year or two when one of you guys realize youâre not going to use them.

yeah.. I probably should have just ordered 8 instead of 6.. since JR announced his plan for MTM. I have a friend who is teetering on trying a build. If I already have the drivers for him to use that might get him to follow through.
